2019

THE SCORCHERS SUB-50 CLUB

2019 saw hot and dry conditions, with the sun coming out after runners hit the top of the Peak. Despite best efforts and a pretty close miss, there were no entries into The Scorchers for 2019.

16 more names added to the Hall of Flames sub-60 minutes club...that's one quick slog up the Peak and back. Bravo you fast things!

2018

THE SCORCHERS SUB-50 CLUB

And what a scorcher it was!  2018 saw hard and dry ground, heat and not a breath of wind. Back to bury the demons from a couple of years before, Niam worked hard for his Sub-50 entry!

2015

THE SCORCHERS SUB-50 CLUB

Installed for the first time in 2015 when the course record was SMASHED, there's only one name (so far!) that rules the most hallowed The Scorchers Sub-50 Club. Yep, that's sub-50 minutes, baby!

Eric Speakman 46:40

Racing took place in near perfect running conditions; still, overcast and with the track not too dry or too wet. A slightly faster course with a small change out of Tainui. enjoy basking in the glory you uber impressive Sub-60 minute-ers!

Not such a perfect running day this year, very blustery and dry underfoot, but this didn't stop 22 people getting home in under 60 minutes.  Congrats lady & gents - Enjoy the Quarter Acre wine!

2011

Hall of flames sub-60 club

A brilliant day - it took a bit to warm up, but a beautiful blue Hawke's Bay sky in the end. Despite working their cotton socks off, there were no Hall of Flamers in 2011.

2010

Conditions were a little tough.  A down pour just before the start meant wet ground and cold air.
